Sameer Dewji - aka sambhhhu
Director of operations and Safari consultant for Bellr Safaris. Born and raised in Arusha, the gateway to the northern circuit national parks. Bellr Safaris is based in Calgary, Alberta where we meet our clients, share our experiences and plan trips. Sameer occasionally accompanies groups on tours in addition to managing the company. Sameer with his team of professional guides, drivers and chefs design travel plans for clients from around the world based on their budget, wildlife interests and time.
Chobizi - Mountain Man - aka “Choba"
"Man of the mountain.” - One of our top porters on Mt.Kilimanjaro. A porter in swahili is know as a mgumu and is one of the toughest jobs. Chobaizi has trekked Kilimanjaro more than a hundred times with many groups of clients from all over the world.
Kevin - aka "Nyama"
From the Chagga tribe in Northern Tanzania. He is a specialist for road trips and cross country town trips. He loves his job as a driver and takes care of client requests and solves any issues on the road. Kevin lives in the town of Arusha and often transfers clients across the border to Kenya as well.
Hamadi - aka “Ndovu’ Safari Driver Guide
With over 25 years in guiding experience across southern and eastern Africa, Hamadi is our senior guide. Nicknamed "Ndovu" which also means elephant. Hamadi is very sensible and knows the Serengeti like the back of his hand. He has taught many guides how to drive and is well respected in the community.
Andrew - aka “Andrea’ Kilimanjaro Guide
He is our senior Kilimanjaro guide from the Chagga tribe in Kilimanjaro. He lives in Arusha and guides clients on treks to Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt.Meru. Andrew understands the mountain well and knows how to set the pace for the client to get to the summit on a multi day trek.
Clemence - Kilimanjaro Guide
He lives in Moshi and is from the chagga tribe. Clemence is a specialist for the Marangu Route on Kilimanjaro.He has trekked Kilimanjaro for many years and loves to farm as well. Clemance has a great personality and clients love his guiding skills.
Benson - aka “ Benny’ - Chef
He loves cooking and enjoys the wilderness. He specializes in various cuisines and using his skill can cook up a scrumptious meal in the savanna. While clients are on a safari, benny prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner. He has travelled with groups from across the world and impressed them with his cuisines.
